Property Description
A cozy place for two attached and to the side of Fell View. Perfect for couples looking for a romantic week away (my wife spent her last night as a single girl here before our wedding!) or, for Grandparents with family staying next door.
Although compact the Woodloft has been well thought out with all you could need, including a slate floored conservatory most often used for reading the paper on rainy days (yes even in the lakes we get those) or cleaning down the dog after a brisk walk down the riverside.
Entry is through the Conservatory (which has its own seating). Through the main door into the good sized open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room. From here a small passage leads to the double bedroom with pretty king size metal bed. From here through the separtate utility room with washer, dryer & freezer is the shower room with walk in shower, sink & toilet.
*Note to tall people, beware of the original beam crossing the living area.

Comment: What a find the Woodloft is! Beautiful Views & the walk by the river to Chapel Stile is a must. The Brittania is busy but with great food - if you take your own plates they will do a 'take away' for you. My husband climbed Helvelyn & Stickle Pike/Tarn & surrounding crags, & said the view was amazing. Hill Top warrents a visit - mid day was good as you have to wait an hour to go in. Woodloft Porch is perfect for painting or reading as light is wonderful. We can recommend Wainwrights and the Dungeon Ghyll Hotel food. Also step back in time by going to the Bramble Cafe above the local shop in Chapel Stile.
Thanks to Heather and Ben for being friendly and helpful.

Comment: This is our 4th 'Woodloft Holiday'and it's been justas lovely and relaxing as all the others. You just can't beat this cottage and this location. The difference for us this time was the fact we had our dog Toby with us, & we reakon he's going to sleep for a week after all the walking we've done. The Brit was like our second hometoo - the pies are amazing! Oh - and as you step outside at night, look out for all the frogs hopping around on the tarmac!!! can't wait to return

Comment: We came across Elterwater by accident last year and found Good Life Cottages. We are so glad we did because we have had such a relaxing but interesting holiday. the Woodloft is an excellent and comfortable base. There are lots of lovely walks to go on and great shops not too far away! We would recommend the Eltermere Inn for a meal. We are planning to return to this area very soon. Thank you.

Comment: A huge Thank-you to the Good Life Cottage Company - we've just got back from staying in the Woodloft... and had a fabulous week.... helped a little by the amazing weather. The cottage was exactly as described, and had everything we needed for our holiday. The location is great... we managed to do the walk around Elterwater, the Langdale Pikes, Place Fell and of course Scafell Pike ... not bad for our first walking holiday.... we can't wait to come back.
