Property Description
Bottom Shop started life as a Joiners workshop, on Elterwater's main village street. Its traditional style has kept people coming back year on year. Entrance is into an open plan /hallway (with hooks for coats and space for muddy boots) and newly fitted open plan shaker style kitchen (2010)
The Living/Dining area offers ample space for three tired walkers to relax after a day on the fells. The log burner keeps you warm on winter nights, and in summer the back door opens on to a large shared garden and orchard with private patio.
There is a large double bedroom with king-size Sleigh bed. The small single bedroom has a built in wardrobe and overlooks the garden. Both the kitchen and shower room are compact but well laid out for ease of use.

Comment: Our second visit to this lovely dog friendly cottage. Weather this time very wet, rained everyday, but I suppose you wouldn't have a 'Lake' district without water

Comment: Lovely Cottage and village. Walking superb. Recommend walks up the Langdale Valley, over the tops to Grasmere and a morning walk beside the river to Chapel Stile to buy your morning paper.
