Grasmere Sports is an annual tradition taking place on the last Sunday in August. Started in the mid 19th Century, it was traditionally a sheep fair, nowadays it’s more a celebration of all Cumbrian traditions – hound trails, fell racing, sheepdog displays, dog shows, music and it wouldn’t be complete without some good old Cumbrian wrestling and the tug of war!

Admission Prices in 2010 were £8.50 for adults
