Situated in the quiet village of Elterwater, in the heart of the Langdale Valley. Numerous walks stretch from the door in all directions. The village pub 'The Britannia Inn' serves lots of traditional beers and has a good selection of tasty grub if you're too tired to cook and is just a minutes walk from the door. Jontys has comfortable and cozy ground floor accommodation for four.

On entering, the first thing you'll notice is the shiny parquet wooden floor, very practical for muddy footwear and dogs. Next to the front door is plenty of space for coats and shoes in the drying cupboard (not that it's going to rain!!) Along the hallway a king size bedded room and a twin bedded room both with built in wardrobes and dressers, then along to the bathroom with its famous one legged bath (it isn't really - it's just narrower at one end than the other) and separate shower. The kitchen is a good size with cream shaker units and has glass-serving hatch to the dining table in the lounge. At the end of the hallway the lounge/diner goes the width of the building with views looking out across Elterwater Common towards Loughrigg and High Close.

Jontys, named after the owners eldest son is a well-equipped, modern ground floor apartment, built within a traditional slate Lakeland building. Its position in Elterwater offers superb walking opportunities, while its level entrance gives those who are less mobile a good base from which to explore the Lakes.
